The first: quartz movement, white matte dial, circular 18K white gold case, 18K gold blank bezel, back with multi-coloured inlay designed by Max Bill, secured by four screws, the second: quartz movement, black dial, window for date, circular stainless steel case, black ceramic bezel, back with multi-coloured inlay designed by Max Bill, secured by four screws, both: cases, dials and movements signed

Lot Essay

Omega's "Art Collection", the artistic interpretation of time, was launched in 1986, characterised by the case backs decorated with "Concrete Art" motifs created by celebrated artists such as Max Bill, Arnaldo Pomodoro, Richard Paul Lohse, Paul Talman etc. The different models were made in limited edition of 999 examples each.

The "Art Collection" and the different models are described and illustrated in Omega - A Journey through Time by Marco Richon, pp. 762 - 764.
