Lot Essay

With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch with porcelain-white dial, 11 black painted Roman numerals and bracelet in white gold in 1993 and its subsequent sale on 23 July 1993.

This watch is believed to be one of less than a handful of references 3802/205 in white gold to have appeared in public to date.

Reference 3802, the "Clou de Paris" Calatrava, was launched in 1983 and remained in production until around 2006. It was available predominantly in yellow gold, few examples in white gold, with varying dial designs and with and without bracelet.
