Professor Fong taught Chinese art history at Princeton from 1954 until his retirement in 1999. Concurrent with his contributions at Princeton, he served for nearly thirty years as special consultant and consultative chairman of the Department of Asian Art at the Metropolitan Museum of Art from 1971 to 2000.Professor Fong has contributed to many publications on Chinese art and established art collections as early as 1955 to 2001.
