The present watch is foremost celebrated because of its miniature movement, which at its introduction during the Art Deco period was a marvel for the history of horology and enthusiasts alike, so much so that it broke the world record for smallest caliber. The Jaeger-LeCoultre Caliber 101 holds 98 tiny parts all held within a very compact rectangular shape and in its entirety it weighs only one gram. For lady's, its lightweight and slender appearance offers both function with a historical narrative but also it offers complete elegance with its full gold and synthetic ruby bracelet, which when worn accents the wrist unlike any other.

Jaeger-LeCoultre has long been a leader in producing beautiful watches for women that manage to combine haute horlogerie (“high watchmaking”) and haute joaillerie (“high jewelry”).
