Limited edition, number 513 from a total edition of 850, one of 25 copies with proofs of the plates on japan vellum. A fine binding by Michel, commissioned by Francis Wilson, with a card from Marius Michel to Wilson laid-in. In his note, Michel apologizes for the delay in completing the binding, but trusts that Wilson will approve.

Contemporary full crushed ash blue levant morocco by Marius Michel, covers decorated with wide gilt and pink morocco onlay foliate and rose border, spine in 6 compartments with 5 raised bands gilt-lettered in one, gilt and onlay flower and leaf design in the rest, gray levant morocco doublures gilt, silk endpapers, original wrappers bound in (spine very slightly faded); original morocco-edged marbled slipcase. Provenance: Francis Wilson (1854-1935) American actor (bookplate on pastedown; signature on flyleaf).
