Provenance
By repute, a pair of child's slippers were a gift from one of Queen Victoria's Lady's in Waiting to an aunt of Elsa Cahen, who gifted the one slipper to Norman St. John-Stevas in 1975, the other was lost.
By repute, the bangle was a given to the daughter of Queen Victoria's Lady in Waiting, Countess Gainsborough, Lady Victoria Noel, thence to her daughter, Mrs. Constance Hawker and then to Beryl de Vere Gibson
