However, Pol Bury’s kinetic jewels involve the body directly. As water in his fountains, in his jewellery movement is the source of energy activating mechanisms and bringing sparkle to the cylindrical and tubular shapes. Placing this cosmic abstraction jewellery on the skin breathes life into it with the added attractiveness of its unusual relation to light. Starting in 1968 Pol Bury (1922-2005) created animated jewellery he made himself. This dated and signed bracelet is one of his first pieces.
