Each of the legs of this tea table is formed by a single piece of wood after Ming style high-waisted tables.
The single-panel top is set in a rectangular frame with a clear wood grain, a laddering style above a tall waist and plain aprons. The members are joined by together by the mortise and tenon method, and fitted with hidden cabinets along the sides for the storage of small tea sets. For the tea master's convenience, the artist has lowered the height of this tea table for the comfort of the guests.
