The colophon states that Ibrahim al-‘Afif, our scribe’s master, was a student of Ibrahim al-Shawqi (Şevki) and a follower of the renowned (al-mashhur) Isma’il Zuhdi. The colophon also states that our calligrapher was also of the Sünbüli Threshold (Asitane-i Sünbüli), the Sünbüli branch of the Halveti Sufi order.
