OF LOUIS XVI STYLE, BY MAISON RINCK, PARIS, LATE 19TH/EARLY 20TH CENTURY
The rosso antico marble above three frieze drawers with scrolling mounts over two larger drawers with swag handles, the bottom drawer with a false key, with fluted corners raised on toupie feet, the pulls and mounts variously marked 'RINCK'

Lot Essay

Maison Rinck, founded in 1841 by Jacques Rinck, was awarded a gold medal in the Paris International Exhibition of 1937. Under the patronage of Empress Eugénie, Jacques Rinck helped found the École de la Bonne Graine in 1866, which still exists today.
