Lot Essay

The present RM011 wristwatch is preserved in like new condition and sold with the full set of accessories.

The RM011 Felipe Massa was developed in collaboration with the Brazilian Formula One racing driver Felipe Massa. A year was spent developing this contemporary masterpiece, which requires 202 separate machining operations to finish the case to such a high standard. The machine tooling process necessitates 8 days of adjusting the machines for the bezel, 5 days for the center and another 5 days for the case back. The watch houses a double barrel system and alpine screws for the bridge and case to improve torque stability. The design is based on the construction premise of Formula 1 racing cars whereby the chassis and engine have to work together in perfect harmony.

Felipe Massa
The racing driver Felipe Massa (born in São Paulo on 25 April 1981) is currently racing in the Stock Car Brazil Championship.
