A well engineered and detailed 2in. scale model of the Burrell double-crank compound three speed, three shaft Scenic Showman's Road Locomotive, "Thetford Town" -- 23½ x 47in. (60 x 119.5cm.)
with brazed copper boiler with fittings including water and pressure gauges, safety, waterlift, clack, blowdown and other valves. Engine details include cylinders approximately 1 and 1¼in. bores x 2in. stroke, ratchet operated lubricator, footplate controlled LP cylinder draincocks, Stephenson's link reverse, counter-balanced crankshaft with three road speeds mounted outside the horn plates and disc flywheel. Chassis details include spoked wheels with rubber tyres and brass hubcaps, worm and roller chain steering, working leaf spring to front axle, belly and tender tanks with interconnecting pipe, waterlift and suction hose, footplate controlled damper, cable drum and fair leads, pickering type governor and tool box. Further details include exciter and main dynamos mounted with slide adjustments, jib crane, cable, pulleys, full length canopy mounted on twisted brass columns with onions and safety valve and chimney extension pipes, finished in red, yellow and black, unlined
