LANDING ASSIST – Apollo 12, Site 7, Landing Area Map. NASA, MSC.

Map created after Neil Armstrong's Apollo 11 landing difficulties to better prepare Conrad and Bean for the next mission.

SIGNED and INSCRIBED by Alan BEAN: "We landed right on target in the Ocean of Storms / Alan Bean Apollo XII LMP / Nov 1960," and additionally SIGNED by Charles CONRAD. The Apollo landing site number 7 ellipse has almost every crater circled to provide the Apollo 12 Lunar Module crew with a high fidelity map of what they would encounter during the final phase of landing. An arrow provides the direction for North and a kilometer scale is found at the bottom center. The map was developed from Lunar Orbiter high resolution photographic data.

Lunar chart, 17 by 22 inches.
