WANLI SIX-CHARACTER MARK IN UNDERGLAZE BLUE WITHIN A DOUBLE CIRCLE AND OF THE PERIOD (1573-1619)
The bulbous mid-section is decorated with pheasants amidst ornamental rocks surrounded by flowering plants. The flared foot and tall neck are decorated with dragons in various colors.

Compare the similar Wanli wucai vase illustrated by John Ayers in Far Eastern Ceramics in the Victoria and Albert Museum, Tokyo, 1990, pl. 171, which illustrates the complete form of this vase.
