Lot Essay

In his studio in Zurich, Franz Fischer created numerous outdoor sculptures and works of public art. He created both the wall relief on the facade of the UBS at the Paradeplatz in Zurich and the bronze portal Menschen in the conference hall of the WHO in Geneva. During his lifetime, Fischer took part in major exhibitions such as the national exposition, Landi, in 1939 in Zurich and the world exhibition in the same year in New York.
