The attribution to Vaccaro was first suggested by Mr. Ian Kennedy (private communication with Julius Held, 18 June 1981), and recently confrimed by Professor Nicola Spinosa, to whom we are grateful. Spinosa dates the pictures to the beginning of the eighteenth century.
