A RARE FAMILLE VERTE CORAL-GROUND OVOID VASE
KANGXI-YONGZHENG PERIOD (1662-1735)
The body is decorated with scenes of immortals reserved on shou (longevity) and fu (happiness) characters decorated with a diaper pattern, beneath fruit-shaped panels containing insects on the waisted neck, all on a coral ground.

The decorative device of setting a figural panel against a large character filled with a diaper pattern can be found on other Kangxi-period vases.
