Impossibly rare navy blue heavy wool uniform from the Buffalo Buffeds of the two year outlaw professional baseball league. Jersey retains its original breast patch on front with buffalo team insignia having blue piping against the navy blue body color. Victor Sportings Goods tagging remains inside the collar. The sleeves have been hand cut in the period as evidenced by images showing various players performing this customization likely due to the need for relief from the extreme heat caused by the heavy gauge dark color fabric. Matching pants are included with similar Victor Sporting Goods tagging inside the waistband area. Both jersey and pants exhibit evident use and wash wear while remaining in exemplary original condition. Very difficult to quantify the extreme rarity of this particular uniform given the scant few documented Federal League uniform examples, for any team, known to exist. The National Baseball Hall of Fame does not have a singular example of a Federal League uniform within their collection. Based on the short lived two year existence of the Federal League, scarcity of pre 1920s professional uniforms, and survival rate for the aforementioned places this example as one of the rarest uniforms of its type to have been offered at public auction.
