Uncommon Babe Ruth Sepia Tone Hall of Fame plaque postcard signed on the front by Ruth in blue fountain pen. Signature rates 7 out of 10 with the smallest bit of ink 'pooling' original to the signing around the "u" in Ruth affording its technical grade. The population of Ruth autographed black and white Hall of Fame postcards, of any series, is incredibly....and surprisingly scant. Although Ruth was a willing signer for a combination of reasons there are simply very, very few authentic examples know to exist. This particular exemplar is among the finest known with special note to the scarcity of the 1939 sepia tone variant versus the later Albertype series. Encapsulated by PSA/DNA (6 EX-MT): NM
