Dated March 18, 1947 typewritten letter on Babe Ruth's letterhead with content offering thanks for a get well letter relating to Ruth's battle with throat cancer. In reads, in part, "In return for your very good drawing, which I appreciate so much, I'm sending you and autographed photograph, which I hope will give you one-tenth the pleasure yours gave me." Signed boldy by Ruth in black fountain pen rating 8/9 out of 10. The original signed photograph which Ruth references in his letter has amazingly remained with its letter for the last 74 years. Sepia tone 3 1/2"x5 1/4" batting image signed at top left, "Sincerely Babe Ruth" in blue fountain pen. Signature rates 8 out of 10. Photo has few small creases and edge tears with some chipping to white border. Desirable original pair of Ruth signature items with related self authentication/provenance attributes.
