Lot Essay

The paintings in this group depict the following scenes:

- Rama, Sita and Lakshmana in Rishi Atri's hermitage, they are offered fruits and Sita receives clothes and jewellery from Rishi's wife Anusuiya.
- Rama and Lakshmana protecting Vishwamitra's Yagnaya from demons' attacks.
- Rama and Lakshmana accompany Rishi Vishwamitra to Janakpuri; Ahilaya, rishi Gautama's wife, is released of her curse by Rama.
- Bharat comes to Chitrakuta and pleads Rama to return to Ayodhaya.
- Shravan Kumar episode - Raja Dashratha shoots Shravana mistakenly; Shravana's elderly and blind parents learn about the tragic death of their son and curse Dashratha; Shravan is being cremated.
- Viradha - a demon encounters Rama, Sita and Lakshmana in Panchvati, and takes Sita forcibly; Rama fights with the demon, kills him and releases him of his curse.
- Rishi Vishwamitra brings Rama and Lakshmana to protect Yagnaya from demons; demoness Taraka is killed by Rama
