Lot Essay

Likely purchased at auction, this 1940s arch-top Stella represented a kind of nostalgic comfort to Rodgers. He remembers this model's regular presence as a child due to its reasonable pricing and accessability -- no fuss and frills. It's the kind of guitar, he says, that was passed down from father to son.
