Lot Essay

Kansai Yamamoto was an influential Japanese fashion designer very active in the 1970s and 1980s. His avant garde and futuristic style caught the eye of artists such as David Bowie and they famously worked together to create the stage costumes for his legendary Ziggy Stardust tour.
