A CARVED RUSSET AND GREEN JADE SNUFF BOTTLE
MASTER OF THE ROCKS SCHOOL, 1730-1790
The bottle is carved on one side using the russet markings with two Buddhist lions chasing a beribboned brocade ball with a cub frolicking below, the foot formed by the tail of the cub, rocks and sprigs of pine. The reverse is carved with a ribbon-tied ruyi scepter and a peach spray.
