The Illumination of Sight and the Gathering of the Seas, on Hanafi jurisprudence, Arabic manuscript on cream burnished paper, 184ff. plus one flyleaf, 19ll. of black nasta’liq, marginal notes in similar hand, important words in red, text within gold and blue rules, catchwords, paginated in red, opening folio with blue and gold headpiece, colophon signed and dated Friday the 4/10th of the 3/3rd of the 2/6th of the first half of the 4/10th of the 8/10th of the 1/10th of the second millennium, equivalent to 23rd Safar AH 1073/ 7 October 1662 AD, in original leather binding with flap and stamped and gilt medallion, the doublures with gilt tooled knot motifs
