Lot Essay

Former fashion model Paulene Stone (b. 1941) embodied the Swinging London scene in the 1960s: gracing the cover of Vogue magazine, and helping launch the career of celebrated photographer David Bailey. Stone married actor and director Laurence Harvey (1928-1973) in 1972, tragically a year before his untimely death from cancer.
