First edition of a collection of short stories in the exceedingly rare dust-jacket. It includes the famous and much-adapted story ‘Philomel Cottage’. We are unable to trace any copy in the dust-jacket in auction records. Hubin, p. 80.
Octavo. 5 pages of publisher’s advertisements at end. Original maroon cloth, spine titled in silver (spine very slightly skewed); original dust-jacket (slightly worn with repaired tears to head of upper and lower panels, a little restoration to ends of folds, lower panel slightly dust-stained).
