Launched at the end of 2021, the Vacheron Constantin unveiled two very special and highly exclusive titanium Overseas models: the Overseas 'Everest' Chronograph and the Overseas 'Everest' Dual Time (the present lot). These watches were directly inspired and the Dual Time model was an exact replica of renowned mountaineer, photographer, and brand ambassador Corey Richard's Overseas titanium prototype he wore during his Everest expedition with Vacheron Constantin sponsorship. Limited to only 150 examples in each model, these watches were highly exclusive and reserved for top Vacheron Constantin clients, and are amongst the most desirable contemporary timepieces from brand.
The present 'Everest' Dual Time model, reference 7910V/000T-B922 features a 42mm titanium case with a blackened signature Overseas bezel. The dial, an incredible piece of art, is a blue-grey grained texture and wonderfully adds to the robust aesthetic of the watch. It is easy to see how it was inspired by the mountains and alpine. Reference 7910V/000T-B922 features orange second time zone and day/night indicator hands which provide a pleasing contrast. Additionally, a jump hour hand setting position is integrated in the watch, convenient for travel, and the date can also be quickset using the screwdown pusher a 4 o'clock. The case and movement covet the legendary Geneva Seal, and the movement is also visible through a sapphire caseback. Completing the timepiece is a 22k pink gold rotor that features a photograph of Mount Everest taken by Corey Richards.
