EDO PERIOD (17TH CENTURY)
Configuration [sugata]: slender shinogi-zukuri, even curve, iori-mune, chu-kissaki
Forging pattern [kitae]: fine koitame with jinie
Tempering pattern [hamon]: slightly notare in suguha style
Point [boshi]: komaru boshi
Tang [nakago]: kattesagaru file marks, two mekugi-ana, takayamagata tip, ubu machiokuri
Length from tip to beginning of tang [nagasa]: 69.5 cm.; curvature 1.3 cm.; width at start of tempered edge 3 cm.
Collar [habaki]: single-copper
Mounting [koshirae]: A green ishimeji lacquer katana koshirae, gilt fuchi-kashira with deer and maple leaves, iron tsuba designed with boat oars signed Myochin Morisuke, 105 cm. long
The mounting accompanied with kicho shodogu certificate, issued by Nihon bijutsu token hozon kyokai, 15 September 1968, no. 42; the blade with a Tokubetsu kicho token certificate, 15 September 1968, no. 148828; the tsuba accopanied wth a certificate issued by Nihon Tosogu kenkyukai, no. 221039
