MEIJI PERIOD (LATE 19TH CENTURY), SIGNED SHOTOKEN SADAKATSU WTIH A CURSIVE MONOGRAM (KAO) (GOCHIKU SADAKATSU; 1848-?)
The shibuichi kozuka inlaid in gold, silver, shakudo and copper with shojo standing on a wine vessel, the reverse incised with ikebana; incised signature on reverse
3 ¾ in. (9.5 cm.) long
Had a Tokubetsu kicho shodogu certificate, issued by Nihon bijutsu token hozon kyokai (Society for the Preservation of the Japanese Art Sword), 3 June 1974, no. 210, now missing
