Compare a celadon jade carving of a mythical figure in the Palace Museum, Beijing, which shares a similar exaggerated and imaginative style, and probably comes from the Hongshan Culture, see The Complete Collection of Treasures of the Palace Museum, Jadeware (I), Hong Kong, 1995, no. 40 (fig. 1).
