Lot Essay

The current brush pot is attributed to Zhu Sansong. The carving of the ladies is comparable to a bamboo brush pot in the National Palace Museum Collection, Taipei, inscribed with a Zhu Sansong mark, which is illustrated in the collection database under collection number: Gudiao000013N000000000.
