QIANLONG IMPRESSED SIX-CHARACTER SEAL MARK AND OF THE PERIOD (1736-1795)

The vase is of pear shape with a lobed globular lower body rising to a tall cylindrical neck flanked by a pair of tubular handles. Covered overall with a teadust glaze with minute yellow speckles.

It is recorded in the Qing Imperial archives that the 25^th of the 6^th month of the third year of the Qianlong reign (1761), the Emperor was presented with different teadust-glazed vases, indicating his fondness for this particular glaze.
