Octavo (175 x 111mm). Frontispiece portrait. Extra-illustrated with a pen-and-ink half-title illustration and five drawings by Charles Conder, three signed, pencil, crayon and watercolour (half-title backed onto frontispiece, some browning). Bound in full purple morocco, decorated with gilt rules and small circles filled with blue-green, by Ellen and Sofita Woolrich (spine lightly faded and with slight wear at foot); modern morocco box replicating binding design. Provenance: Mary Davis (1866-1941; presentation inscription from Conder on title verso) – Barry Humphries (1934-2023; bookplate in box).
