A 2in. scale model of a Shand Mason Horse Drawn Fire Engine,
built by E. Lynn, with brass clad brazed copper boiler with 'J' tubes and fittings including water and pressure gauges, safety, blower, main stop and clack valves and washout plug. Engine details include twin cylinders ¾in. bore x 1in. stroke, cylinder head lubricators, scotch cranks, twin flywheels, direct coupled twin pumps with suction pipe and twin outlets with changeover cock, compression domes, feed pump and bypass, and twin water tanks with hand feed pump. Chassis details include channel section side frames, spoked wooden wheels with metal tyres and brass hubcaps, working leaf springs, turning lock, box body with driver's seat, foot rest and hand brakes, lamps and suction and delivery hoses and two branches, finished in red with yellow lining, black and polished brightwork -- 15½ x 22in. (39.3 x 55.8cm.). Display base.
