JOHN A. BRYAN (Bryan de Grineau)
Brooklands "From the Passenger Seat" - A rare early painting depicting a race in progress on the banking approaching "The Fork"; monotone, pencil, charcoal and watercolour, highlighted in white, signed by the artist and dated 1912; mounted, framed and glazed.
24 x 29 inches (60x74cm)
This was most probably an illustration for "The Motor" for whom he became official illustrator, using his mother's maiden name, for which his work became more recognised as Bryan de Grineau; this is a rare early work from an unusual viewpoint.
