The hood with swan-neck pediment with flowerhead carved caps, outset columns with gilt-brass composite capitals, with blind-fret frieze below the hood door, the square top trunk door flanked by fluted 3/4 pilasters, with blind-fret carved chamfered angles to the plinth, with quatreform panel, the 13in. (33cm.) diameter white dial signed in the centre G & W COPE Nottingham below subsidiary centre seconds ring, pierced steel hands, the four pillar rack striking movement with anchor escapement
