The bowl chased with the inscriptions: To The Winner Of The Free For All Pace Inter-City Matinee Sept. 1st 1905; The Gentlemens Driving Club of Chicago; Won By CKG Billings b.g. Morning Star

Lot Essay

The Martelé records indicate that this loving cup was made by David H. Glover in 100 hours and it took chaser William Gray 72 hours to decorate. The total cost was $260.
