Black, 1840. 8°, engraved frontispiece and 8 plates, wood-engravings in text (frontispiece slightly detached, plates spotted at margins, occasional marginal stains or soil marks to text), original cloth, uncut (rubbed, spine faded and slightly stained). FIRST EDITION THUS. Wilson's angling treatise, which originally appeared in the 8th edition of Encyclopaedia Britannica, ends with a bibliography. Westwood & Satchell p. 242: "much above the ordinary level as a manual"; Chute 679. With 12 others on angling, including the 1912 second edition of P.D. Malloch's Life History and Habits of the Salmon. (15)
