Corporal Christopher Rangenier was also the recipient of the Guelphic Medal for Bravery, an eight-clasp Military General Service Medal and the Hanoverian K.G.L. Medal of 1841. The former Decoration was awarded in respect of the following deeds, as recorded by Beamish and von Wissel:

'An exceptionally brave man like his father. In a combat which the First Hussars had with French Cavalry at Francosa, in the month of August 1810, Lieutenant Teuto's horse was severely wounded, and the Lieutenant would certainly have fallen into the enemy's hands had not Rangenier given him his own horse, and thus saved his Officer from being taken prisoner.

During the attack on the fortified position on the Nivelle, Corporal Rangenier was Orderly to General Clinton. When part of the 72nd [?] English Regiment was in difficulties, he placed himself at their head, encouraged them, drove the enemy back once more and captured a gun. The General gave much praise to this example of determination and bravery, which he witnessed.

He was wounded in the Battle of Fuentes D'Onor. When returning from the outposts, he had joined a Squadron in a charge and had received a bad shot wound in the loins'.
