KURT COBAIN EARLY ORIGINAL ARTWORK
1980
A watercolor painting on paper by Kurt Cobain made for his grandparents. The painting depicts a lighthouse in the middle of a rough sea in blues, purples and blacks. Details of the ocean view include sea spray, birds and a rocky outcropping on which the lighthouse sits; a scene the young Cobain might have been familiar with growing up in Aberdeen, Washington. The painting is signed in the bottom left corner, "Kurt 80." Also present is a letter of authenticity signed by Cobain's grandfather, Leland Cobain.
