THE FIRST LADY'S COPY OF DICKENS FOR CHILDREN, POSSIBLY THE COPY READ TO HER CHILDREN

LIMITED EDITION, number 452 of 500 copies signed by Dickens's five granddaughters, Christmas 1911 and presented to "The Daily Telegraph" Fund. Dickens was a favorite among the Roosevelt family. The President especially admired the author and read aloud from A Christmas Carol every Christmas Eve.
