Lot Essay

The three lotus flowers refer to the three jewels of Buddhism - Buddha, Dharma and Sangha - and when found in combination with the Dharma Wheel, form the Triratna symbol. This symbol often appears on the footprint of Buddha and can also represent Buddha, as in the present example.
