Gyalwa Drigung Chenpo Konchog Tendzin Chokyi Nyima (1755-1792) was one of the two most important teachers of the Drigung Kagyu tradition of Tibetan Buddhism. This painting depicts the fourth incarnation of the lineage. At top are the lineage teachers of the Drigung Kagyu School of Tibetan Buddhism. To the left, right and front of the lama are the meditational deities Vajravarahi, Simhamukha and Hayagriva. The six figures below are worldly protector deities, some unique to the Drigung School. The inscription on the base translates to "Homage to the great conqueror Drigung, Konchog Tendzin Chokyi Nyima."
