This type of cup stand first appeared in the Yongzheng reign and gained popularity in the Qianlong period. An almost identical Qianlong example is in the collection of Tibet Museum, illustrated by Xu Weichen, Ming and Qing Dynasties Ceramics Preserved in Tibet Museum, Beijing, 2004, pp. 124-125.
