An iconic model of the Audemars Piguet manufacture - The present timepiece is one of the most iconic sport watch ever created, bestowed with a highly attractive grey dial. Examples of the Royal Oak reference 14802 are increasingly hard to obtain as one of the great classic ‘must-have’ watches for the serious collector.
In 1992, the impact of the Royal Oak was more than apparent. To commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Royal Oak, Audemars Piguet launched an extremely rarefied series of timepieces. Produced only in 700 examples in stainless steel (with 2 dials variations), 20 in platinum (with two dial variations) and 280 in yellow gold - The yellow gold version was available with three different dials that included a gilt, ivory and ardois dial.
