Abdul Rahman Alzayani

Based between Bahrain and London, Abdul Rahman Alzayani is one of the leading collectors in the Middle East, assembling a multitude of artworks from the historic Islamic world to modern and contemporary international art and design. In recent years, Al Zayani has also launched A2Z, a luxury advisory service for private clients in the Gulf States who want to expand their jewellery collections.

Arne Everwijn
Director, Business Development for the Middle East and North Africa, Christie’s Dubai

Arne joined Christie’s Amsterdam in 2001 and relocated to the European Art department in London in 2007. In his previous role as Director, European and Orientalist Art in London, he worked on and developed some of the most notable sales in the category. Next to handling and selling masterpieces from the category, he advised and assisted his clients on acquiring works in a broad array of fields, ranging from Old Masters to contemporary art.

Arne is an auctioneer and has conducted auctions in Amsterdam, London and Hong Kong as well as numerous charity sales. His longstanding involvement with multiple fine art categories and clients is at the very heart of his current role.

Jackie Johns
Managing Partner, Christie’s International Real Estates, Dubai

Jackie Johns is a highly reputed expert in Dubai’s residential real estate market and is the joint owner of Christie's International Real Estate Dubai. With over 30 years of experience in the ever-evolving property industry across the UK and the UAE, she has led and managed multiple teams to remarkable levels of success on an international scale. As the managing partner of a flourishing, multifaceted real estate brokerage, Jackie has honed her knowledge of various departmental services to an exceptional degree. Jackie takes pride in being able to provide clients with a meticulous market overview and to direct them toward the best possible investment or property purchase for their requirements.

Max Bernardini
Owner of Bernardini Milano, dealer, curator and collector

Bernardini is one of the real veterans of the high-end rare vintage timepieces market. Italian by birth, but an international globetrotter by choice. Dealer, curator but most of all, collector. Owner of Bernardini Milano, the family business established in 1982.

His gallery is a reference point for a very sophisticated worldwide clientele, as is his legacy of passion and compulsive love of rarity and beauty. From a young age he was introduced to prominent collectors and had the privilege of handling extraordinary watches, in quantity and quality, a situation which is unthinkable today. In these past three decades he has been a very prominent and active player, while witnessing the incredible evolution of this market.

A trusted advisor of fine collectors worldwide. He is fluent in English, French, Spanish and Italian. His modus operandi as a curator is quite simple and efficient: sharing and providing knowledge and guidance, so to recognise the essential difference between value and price and as he often states, ‘keep the best, and trade the rest.’

Meagan Kelly Horsman
Managing Director, Christie’s Middle East

Based in the UAE since 2010, Meagan has worked in both the primary and secondary market, starting her career at Bonhams. Megan specialises in modern and contemporary art from the Arab world, North Africa and Iran. Her extensive experience also includes collection management and development for some of the most important private collections in the region. Meagan has curated numerous exhibitions at institutions across the UAE, delivered short courses relating to the art sector and written for arts publications in the region. She holds a MA in History of Art from the University of Glasgow, Scotland.

Miguel Llorente

A trained fine artist at the prestigious Rhode Island School of Design and former Hollywood professional, Miguel started his automotive career restoring classic Mercedes and other Pebble Beach quality cars in the San Francisco Bay Area. After hosting an online automotive series with YouTube celebrity Tyler Hoover, he went on to chase and find the lost Mercedes Gullwing in Cuba, considered by many as one of the most exciting ‘barn finds’ of the century.

Miguel relocated to the UAE in 2014 and developed miscellaneous plans and projects for automotive OEM’s, collections, and museums across the country, eventually moving to Tomini Group in 2016 and serving as the head of its classic car division. Under his management, Tomini Classics has established itself as a world-class showroom and restorer, developed new automobilia and timepiece collections, and established key partnerships in East Asia.

Besides cars and films, Miguel also enjoys classic rock, vintage watches, architecture, and world gastronomy.

Suzy Sikorski
Associate Specialist, Middle Eastern 20th and 21st Century Art

An Associate Specialist of Middle Eastern 20th and 21st Century Art, Suzy Sikorski is based in Dubai and works closely with specialist teams in New York, London & Paris.

Working with Christie’s international teams, Suzy spearheads ‘Mapping the Middle East’ building and expanding Middle Eastern 20th and 21st Century Art across dedicated and international placement of auctions, private sales and exhibitions.

She is currently on secondment in London overseeing the 20th and 21st Century Middle Eastern Art sale, led by the Rita and Orin Parker Collection of Modern Iraqi Art, one of the largest and most diverse collections of American collections of modern Arab. In the summer of 2021, Suzy completed a secondment in New York where she oversaw cataloguing for the record-breaking First Open New York sale.

Originally from New York, Suzy is a Fulbright Scholar (2016–17), with a research focus on modern Gulf Art History. Suzy completed a bachelor’s degree at Fordham University, with a major in Middle East Studies and minors in Art History and French.

Nitin Nair
Associate Specialist, Watches

Nitin Nair’s joined Christie’s in 2021 after a successful tenure as the launch editor of WatchTime Middle East, the region’s leading watch publication. He spent seven years focused on the niche of luxury watches, creating and curating content as well as organising events for the local collecting community. He was on the jury of WatchStars, an independent international watch awards featuring an international community of watch journalists and has been quoted as a thought leader in international titles like The New York Times. His background as a journalist with more than 18 years of experience across news and men’s luxury lifestyle titles gives him a clear and balanced view of the luxury and collectibles industry. Nitin’s interest in wristwatches is rooted in academia and horology, given his love for history and literature.

Rémy Julia
Specialist Head, Middle East, Africa & India

Rémy Julia joined Christie’s in 2013 as Dubai’s regional specialist for watches, bringing over a decade of luxury brand management and business development experience. He spearheaded commercial growth for Vacheron Constantin in the Middle East and Indian Sub-Continent since 2009. With a strong reputation in the fine watchmaking industry, he's been instrumental in mentoring Christie's watch specialists and establishing a multicultural team.

Under his leadership, Christie's Dubai witnessed remarkable auction growth, with sales reaching $15 million (March 2021), $10.5 million (October 2021), and $12 million (March 2022), setting a global benchmark for online auctions. The Dubai Watches hub also excelled in private sales, surpassing $30 million in 2022.

He serves as a columnist for publications like WatchTime Middle East and India and QP magazine. Rémy is a respected watch advisor at Christie's, offering guidance on both purchases and consignments, contributing to the success of Christie’s watch auctions worldwide.

Julien-Vincent Brunie
International Director and Auctioneer at Christie’s

Julien-Vincent Brunie has been a prominent figure in the Luxury sector for over 25 years, commencing his career at Boucheron in 2000 before joining Christie’s in 2010. He contributes to the global success of Christie’s Private Sales, leveraging his extensive knowledge to facilitate swift and discreet transactions for collectors.

Eric Tortella

Eric Tortella is a distinguished expert in the world of watches, inspired by his father, Gabriel Tortella Sr., who began his watch business in 1967. With over four decades of experience, Eric’s career has been dedicated to the study of Patek Philippe timepieces. He has catalogued more than 300,000 watches, authored 20 academic books, and established the most extensive database on the subject.

Eric advises international museums, luxury brands, auction houses and esteemed private collectors globally. He conducts studies on behalf of brands and major auction houses, collating their official archives and producing unparalleled in-depth research on specialised subjects.

Eric’s expertise extends to researching some of the most significant watches to appear at auction conducting forensic like analysis of the most important pieces globally. Notably, he conducted a forensic analysis of the Grave’s ultra complication, which sold for approximately US$25 million in 2014.
