DER STERNEHIMMEL ZU JEDER STUNDE DES JAHRES Ausgabe fr Mittel-Europa Fnfunddreissigste Auflag, comprising a circular star-chart with the stars to five orders of magnitude, joined by lines to show the constellations, the Milky Way also shown (some rubbing), graduated around the outside in days of the month, also with the names of the houses of the Zodiac with notes in German around the edge, held in a punched and gilt-decorated leather sleeve graduated around the edge in hours and showing two-thirds of the star chart, a printed sheet of instructions in German gothic script applied to the reverse, with a hand-written date in ink 1919 -- 10in. (25.5cm.) diameter; and a smaller chart labelled Maier's Drehbare Sternkarte Verlag von Otto Maier in Ravensburg, comprising a fixed star-chart with stars printed in black to four orders of magnitude, labelling in red, on a white ground, a rotating leather disc showing different areas of the chart, with compass directions and graduations in hours in gilt, with a square leather sleeve graduated in days of the month in gilt, the reverse with applied printed sheet of instructions in German gothic script, a diagram to illustrate the stars around the South Celestial Pole and the prices 50pf and 75pf for plain and gilt-decorated versions -- 7in.
